Rakesh Kukreti in Chennai Express!

Rakesh Kukreti who was last seen as Pankaj in Shashi Sumeet Mittal's Punar Vivah will soon be seen on the big screen sharing the screen space with the King Khan (Shah Rukh Khan). Rakesh will be seen in the upcoming movie Chennai Express as Shah Rukh's friend.

When contacted Rakesh, he said, "I have been shooting for the movie from the past few months and now heading towards Hyderabad for the shoot. I am playing the character of Shah Rukh Khan's friend who is very jolly by nature. Its going to be my 3^rd movie and the movie is expected to be released in the month of August."

When asked about how he got the offer he said, "The production people contacted me for the offer and I took it up."

Talking about his experience of shooting with Shah Rukh Khan, he said, "It's a very good experience to shoot with Shah Rukh Khan. He is a very good. A real down to earth and a very loving guy."

Talking about his television career, he said, "I will soon be seen in BBC's upcoming show Ek Boond Ishqiya on Life OK after doing Punar Vivah. I have started shooting for the same. I will be playing the role of the father of the male lead. My character is very jolly and who is helpful to his children. Gauri Tonk is playing a negative character opposite me. I took this character because it's a very powerful character. After Diya Aur Baati Hum, this will be the second show in which I will be playing the role of a father."
