Shah Rukh Khan meets fresh faces on 'Sitaare Zameen Par' set after Aamir insists ‘Shah, tu aana yaar’

In a behind-the-scenes moment from Sitaare Zameen Par, Shah Rukh Khan’s unexpected visit to the film’s set created quite a buzz. The video, shared by the makers on Thursday, shows Shah Rukh meeting Aamir Khan and warmly interacting with the film’s cast.

Aamir, who returns to the big screen after three years, had persistently invited Shah Rukh to visit the shoot. Revealing this in the video, Shah Rukh said, “Aamir has told me at least 10 times. He said, ‘Come and meet the actors. They are doing so well.’ Even three days ago, he told me, ‘Shah, tu aana yaar!’”

On reaching the set, Shah Rukh was seen hugging Aamir Khan and greeting the cast members individually. The young actors, clearly excited, shared their favourite Shah Rukh movies, ranging from Chak De! India to Don. In a light moment, the superstar also struck his iconic arms-wide-open pose for the team and later posed for a group photo.

Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by RS Prasanna, features ten fresh faces—Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. It is the official adaptation of the Spanish film Campeones.

The movie follows the story of a basketball coach, played by Aamir Khan, who trains a team of players with special needs. Genelia D’Souza also plays a key role in the film. While it is not a direct sequel, the project is described as a spiritual continuation of Aamir’s 2007 film Taare Zameen Par.

The film is jointly produced by Aamir Khan along with Aparna Purohit, B Srinivas Rao, and Ravi Bhagchandka. Sitaare Zameen Par is slated to release in cinemas on June 20, 2025. The surprise visit by Shah Rukh has already added emotional value to the film’s journey, highlighting the bond between the two Khans.
