Rajeev Khandelwal sweeps India-Forums popular actor polls

In a recent poll conducted on India Forums.com as to who the favourite actor was among the members, the inimitable Rajeev Khandelwal emerged as a clear winner, followed by hottie Ejaz Khan and gorgeous Iqbal Khan on the second and third place respectively.

About 200 actors were in the fray for the crown, but Rajeev defeated all of them by a huge margin in the popularity chart.

The actress poll was won by the enchanting Amna Sherrif, followed by the beautiful Gauri Pradhan Tejwani, with the effervescent Shweta Tiwari coming a very close third.

Rajeev Khandelwal was overwhelmed when the Telly Buzz team gave him the news.

Talking exclusively to our reporter Barnali, an emotional Rajeev said, ‘I would actually say that more than me it’s got to do with them. The victory is not mine but everyone who thinks that I am good. If you ask me personally I see no reason to win any of these contests. Maybe the only thing that sets me apart from others is that I very strongly believe in myself. I work for my own creative satisfaction and will do so as long as I can afford to. And being liked by people while you are following your dreams is like a bonus…nothing can be better than that. To be voted as the favourite actor of the people, along with huge feeling of satisfaction it also adds so much of responsibility. Because every time I get myself in such a situation to me it translates itself straightaway into expectations and responsibility that I carry on my shoulders. Not that it bogs me down. It kind of keeps me on my feet. The quest to attain a better standard is always on. But by the end of the day I get a very peaceful sleep knowing people are very kind to me.’
