Rahul Vaidya shares Virat Kohli’s brother Vikas Kohli's reaction to Avneet Kaur controversy: 'Apne singing…'

Rahul Vaidya faced controversy after making remarks about Virat Kohli, following Kohli's comments on an algorithm liking actress Avneet Kaur's photoshoot and questioning why Rahul was previously blocked on Instagram. Rahul's video drew criticism from Virat's fans, including his brother Vikas Kohli.

During a recent interview with Instant Bollywood, Rahul Vaidya shared that Vikas Kohli had contacted him to inquire why he was involving his brother's name in the situation.

Following the IPL trophy win for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Virat Kohli and his brother Vikas Kohli have become a topic of discussion. This follows a Bollywood playback singer's comments regarding Virat Kohli's interaction with Instagram influencer Avneet Kaur's reels. Rahul Vaidya shared his account of events.

"After the incident, his brother had said some things to me. ‘Isse accha aap apni singing pe dhyaan dijiye’ (It’s better for you to focus on your singing). He is the same Vikas Kohli who had met me outside a stadium in Manchester and praised my singing. But I know how it feels because these small controversies also have an impact on the person’s family. He did not like whatever was happening, and that’s the reason he said all these things to me."

Responding to Vikas Kohli's comments, the singer retorted to the cricketer's brother, asserting, “'Aap kyu Virat ke baare mein bol rahe ho? Aap kyu publicity le rahe ho?’ (Why are you speaking about Virat? Why are you hogging the publicity?) He said something like this; I don’t remember the exact words. Then he said, ‘Isse achha toh aap apne singing pe dhyan dete’ (It is better for you to focus on your singing). I know Vikas is a good guy, and I have not taken anything he said to my heart because the problem is that people just want to react without even knowing what the matter is."

The controversy began when Rahul's remarks angered numerous fans, leading to abusive messages and harsh comments. His Instagram story, where he called Virat's fans "even bigger jokers than Virat!", was not well-received. Later, Vikas Kohli also advised him to concentrate on his singing instead of seeking publicity. Following this, Rahul revealed that Virat had unblocked him and expressed his appreciation.
