'Queen 2' in the works? Vikas Bahl confirms and reveals if Kangna Ranaut will return

It will be a decade next year in March since the path-breaking and revolutionary film Queen arrived in everyone's lives back in 2014. It not only solidified Kangana Ranaut as a formidable actor but also brought solace in how content-driven and female-led films will also work if and when they connect. Back then, it was a huge deal, and since then, we have only seen a constant rise in female-led films doing better numbers.

Now, ten years later, both director Vikas Bahl, who just had his directorial Ganapath - A Hero Is Born released today, and Ranaut, who has her release next week in the form of Tejas - have been busy constantly with multiple projects. But there has always been speculation and wondering as to if ever Queen will have a sequel.

And now, in an interview with BollywoodLife, Bahl opened up on his plans to make Queen 2 as he said, "Every day I wake up with a thought of making Queen 2, and hopelessly, I will definitely announce it someday".

When asked if he will have Ranaut returning or have a new face, he said, "I will not take credit for that; Kangana is a brilliant actress, and I cannot imagine anyone else but only her for Queen 2. I will make the film only with her and no one else."

With Bahl now having had two directorial releases recently and Ranaut prepping for not just Tejas but her second directorial, Emergency, we can only hope and wait that Queen 2 will happen at the soonest.
