Filmmaker Manish Gupta slams allegations of stabbing driver as 'extortion racket'

Filmmaker Manish Gupta who has been booked by Versova Police for allegedly attacking his driver with a knife has outright denied all the “false accusations”. In a long statement to ANI, he presented his side of the story. He said it is 100 per cent false case. It seems there is no fight between driver, Rajebul Lashkar and him.

Usne police mein jaaake jhuthi statement di hai (He went to the police and gave a false statement). And on that basis, he filed an FIR. He did this to put my reputation at risk. So that I come under pressure and he can extort more money from me.

Manish Gupta also explained how he has made timely payments to his driver. He said people can check his band statement for past three years. Gupta said every month money has been debited for the payment of the driver. He said he made timely payments always. Manish Gupta told ANI, “So, the first sentence in the FIR is false that I never paid him salary on time, that's why he fought with me. His first sentence is false. The first false sentence in his statement, in the FIR, is proof that his entire allegation is false.”

Gupta further said that there was no fight between them. He said he gave him advance salary on many occasions. Gupta said he took a lot of advances ahead of salary. He said that this complaint is just a ploy to defame him and his intentions are vile. He said, “This is an extortion racket and nothing else.”
