Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun's father Allu Aravind offers compensation of Rs Two Crore to injured child

While Pushpa 2 has made Rs 1,500 crores and more at the global box office, the joy of its success has been marred by the unfortunate incident at Sandhya Theatre. Revathi, a fan of the superstar lost her life in the stampede while her son is critical in a city hospital on a ventilator. Yesterday, the producers of Pushpa 2 Naveen Yerneni and YS Ravi Shankar went to the hospital and gave Rs 50 lakh to the father of the child. They consoled the father, and his daughter who survived. Sri Tej who suffered deep injuries to his brain is now progressing well under expert medical care.

Today, noted Tollywood producer Allu Aravind who is the father of Allu Arjun said that Rs two crores will be paid as compensation to the young boy. This incident happened during the special premiere show of Pushpa 2: The Rule that took place on December 4, 2024. The family of Allu Arjun will pay Rs one crore to Sri Tej’s family while the rest will be paid by Mythri Movie Makers and filmmaker Sukumar. Allu Arjun was summoned to the Chikadapally Police Station where he answered questions for more than two hours in an in-depth enquiry.

Allu Aravind told the group of reporters in Hyderabad, “To support the family and the boy after he comes out of hospital, we thought we should support them with the amount of Rs 2 crores... to be handed over Dil Raju (the Chairperson of the Telangana Film Development Corporation). We are thankful (to Dil Raju) for being an intermediary between the family and ourselves.”

It has come to light that the stampede happened even before Allu Arjun and co reached the theatre. The matter was raised even in the Telangana National Assembly. Allu Arjun has been subject to some derogatory comments as well from political class.
