Pushpa 2 Box Office Day 13: Allu Arjun actioner all set to topple Jawan, Stree 2; reduced ticket prices work

Pushpa 2: The Rule is the fastest Indian movie to reach the figure of Rs 1,500 crore. Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna’s actioner has set the box office ablaze. As per Sacnilk, the collections on its second Tuesday is close to Rs 25.5 crores in all languages. Pushpa 2 is doing exceedingly well in states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan to name a few. However, it is the phenomenal success in the smaller towns of India that had led to these numbers. In the Hindi belt, where the Hindi version is being shown, evening shows are having crowds of more than 20 to 30 per cent in theatres on week days. This is staggering.

The IMAX format of Pushpa 2: The Rule is far behind the 2D version. It is yet to surpass Jawan and Pathaan in the IMAX version. We know that Interstellar could not get a re-release in India in the IMAX as all the theatres were booked for Pushpa 2: The Rule. The only movie in India to make Rs 50 crore in the IMAX version is Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. No desi film has come close to that movie based on the life and journey of scientist J Robert Oppenheimer.

Pushpa 2’s ticket prices have come down in America to USD 6 per ticket. This has led to a surge in crowds, and the sales are at par with what happened on the first Tuesday. Now, tickets will be cheaper in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh too. This could mean a fantastic run for Pushpa 2 in the coming weeks. As we know, there is a lull till Sankranthi 2025 in the South Indian market.

The rights of Pushpa 2 have been sold at high prices. But the theatre business is also rocking. Trade experts believe that Arjun can help make more profits for the movie. Pushpa 2 is the biggest Indian movie in UK as of now. In the movie, Allu Arjun plays Pushparaj while Srivalli, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is his wife.
