Pratiksha Honmukhe calls her bond with Shehzada Dhami the best, speaks about her character turning negative

Pratiksha Honmukhe, who currently portrays the character of Ruhi in Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, recently engaged in an exclusive conversation with India Forums. She shared insights on her character taking a negative turn, the audience's acceptance of the new cast, comparisons with Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, her journey from aviation to entertainment, and more.

Q1: Firstly, congratulations on the show entering the top 5 race after a brief hiatus. How overwhelming does it feel that the audience has finally begun to accept the new cast?

I am feeling very blessed that the audience has finally started to like and accept us now because we have really worked very hard towards it. So yes, I feel perfect that people are liking us now. I want to tell the audience that we will never disappoint them, and I'd request them to keep loving us like this.

The current track of the show is somehow showing you in a negative shade, your thoughts on the same?

I would not call it negative; my character is not negative. Ruhi is going through a tough time, and she herself does not know what is happening with her. So I feel sad for Ruhi because everything wrong is happening with her. Her only hope, Armaan, also got married, and now she is all alone. So I myself pity her sometimes. Ruhi may come out negative to the viewers, but trust me, she is not negative at all.

The way the story of the show has been shaping up is pretty similar to the first season of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, what do you think of the same?

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is a very different story, and this is a very different story. Yes, something here and there can be a tad bit similar, but that show was totally different, and ours too is totally different. So no, our show is not similar to Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin in any way. I say this because our show has just started, and you do not know what all changes are about to come ahead. I'd say keep watching our show, and you yourself will realize that both the shows are poles apart.

Who do you share the best camaraderie with on the sets of the show?

I have a very good bond with Armaan, aka Shehzada, because he has been very supportive since day 1. He has always been there for me. Whenever I find myself stuck anywhere, I go straight up to him and ask him to help me because obviously, he is way more experienced and has been in the industry for quite some years now. And he always helps me, so yes, I share an amazing bond with him.

From an air hostess to now an actress, how much have you been enjoying this transition?

It is a very beautiful transition, I must say. The 6-7 years I flew were very beautiful moments of my life because that was my first job. This is my second job, so it is a very beautiful transition, and I am loving working here each and every day. You know in both the fields I barely get sleep, but then yeah, glamour has been there in both the fields. So yeah, I am loving this transition. Sometimes I miss my job because it was my first job and I did it for quite a few years, but now, I am loving each and every day as an actor, and hence I'd like to call this transition beautiful.
