PM Modi Shares Review of The Sabarmati Report After Special Screening

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi watched the film The Sabarmati Report and shared his thoughts on it, shortly after actor Vikrant Massey made a significant announcement about his retirement. PM Modi took to X to share his review, posting pictures from the special screening that took place at the Balyogi Auditorium in the Parliament Complex Library. This event happened to coincide with Vikrant Massey's announcement that he would step away from acting.

PM Modi, who was seated alongside Amit Shah during the screening, praised the efforts of the film’s creators. He wrote, "Joined fellow NDA MPs at a screening of ‘The Sabarmati Report.’ I commend the makers of the film for their effort." Several other prominent figures were present at the screening, including NDA MPs and Union Ministers like Rajnath Singh, Kiren Rijiju, and Ashwini Vaishnaw. The cast and crew, including Vikrant Massey, Riddhi Dogra, and director Dheeraj Sarna, were also in attendance.

Vikrant Massey shared his thoughts on the experience of watching the film with PM Modi and other cabinet ministers. He expressed his joy, saying, “I watched the film with Prime Minister and all cabinet ministers and many MPs. It was a special experience. I will still not be able to express it in words because I am so happy… This is the highest point of my career, that I got to watch my film with the Prime Minister."

In a surprising turn, Vikrant also announced his retirement from films on social media that same morning. He thanked his supporters, stating, “The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor." He concluded by saying that 2025 would be the year they meet again, marking the end of his career with his last two films.
