'Piya Basanti Re' pair told to work on their chemistry

The makers of serial Pia Basanti Re have reportedly directed the lead pair Alan Kapoor and Adaa Khan to spend some time together and work on their on-screen equation.

"The audience was not getting connected to the story of Pia (Adaa Khan) and Kabir (the protagonists). Hence, the makers have told them to work on their chemistry, directing them to spend time together," said a source.

The current track on the Sony Pal highlights the relationship of Pia and Kabir (Alan Kapoor) after Pia had to marry him against her wishes. The show will now enter an arena where the lead pair will develop feelings for each other.

If the script is anything to go by, the show has some close scenes of the lead pair.

"Their chemistry will play an important role in the upcoming love sequence, hence they need to work on it, so that the audience can relate to the characters and believe their story," added the source.
