Karan Patel makes HEARTBREAKING revelation about being OUT OF WORK for 6 years: 'Did not get a single offer'

Karan Patel, who has been a popular name in the hindi entertainment industry, has recently opened up on being out of work for the past 6 years now.

The actor, opening up about the same on Bharti and Harsh's podcast opens up on not getting a single offer for the past 6 years now. Patel says, ''I have not gotten a single daily soap offered in the last 6 years. Now, every day, around 150-200 new actors are being born. They will work on a show at 10 percent of the amount we would charge.''

He further reveals how makers today think of making '2 web shows' instead of investing in one daily soap. ''There was a point where there was a lot of money in TV. But today, makers think that rather than making one show, they can make two web series in the same budget. But what about the quality?,'' the Yeh Hai Mohabbatein star goes ahead to reveal.

Karan then states that content in the OTT space now has 'degraded' and that 'intimate scenes' are being used without even the need of the story. When asked why does he not opt for the OTT space, he says, ''I am not getting offers. The OTT space has gotten spoiled due to too many people doing too many things on it. Most of the shows on OTT today have become soft porn for me, if there is no sleaze or love-making scene in it, it won't be watched even if its not required in the story.''

Recalling how episodes being available on OTT has spoiled things for television, the actor says, ''Earlier, viewers would wait for the episode to air and if they missed it they would wait for the repeat telecast. Now, with all the episodes being available on OTT, the viewers have stopped watching the show the way they used to. As everything is now accessible, you don't need to wait for it.''
