Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, known for his massive fan following, has finally addressed rumors about his work ethic. Speculations about him arriving late on set and not taking his work seriously have been making rounds for years. However, the Sikandar actor has set the record straight, clarifying that he juggles multiple responsibilities beyond just acting.
In an interview with India Today, Salman dismissed the claims, saying, “There are many stories about me coming late and not being serious about my work.” He pointed out that if he were truly unprofessional, completing over 100 films in his career wouldn’t have been possible.
Sharing insights into his daily routine, he explained, “Some people start working at 6 am. I start around 11:30-12 because I’ve got a lot of other work to do, like signing papers, making calls, and working out. Then I have to come back, relax, have my coffee, and understand the scene.”
Salman also revealed that his Sikandar co-star Rashmika Mandanna had heard various rumors about him before working together. However, her experience was completely different. Supporting Salman, Rashmika said he was always present on set and never slacked off. She questioned the unnecessary gossip about his work ethic, stating that the reality was far from what people assumed. Salman added that once he is on set, he remains fully engaged and rarely retreats to his vanity van. “Even my co-stars know that when I’m here, I give my full attention to the shoot.”
The actor also addressed how some friends unknowingly spread misconceptions about him. “They say I’m very chilled out, which they mean as a compliment. But then, people think I’m not serious about work, which is not true at all.” Salman emphasized that his approach involves a lot of hard work behind the scenes. Coming from a family of writers, he naturally thinks deeply about his scenes and emotions, ensuring his performances are impactful.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is gearing up for Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. The film, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal, Anjini Dhawan, and Sharman Joshi, has been granted a UA 13+ certification by the CBFC. With an official runtime of 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 47 seconds, Sikandar is all set for an Eid 2025 release.
