Shah Rukh Khan ranked No. 1 on the Met Gala power ranking chart, surpassing these top celebs

Shah Rukh Khan topped the Met Gala 2025 power rankings, according to the Hollywood Reporter. He outshone Lewis Hamilton, Rihanna, and Diljit Dosanjh. His appearance generated a massive $19 million in media impact value, solidifying his top position at the event.

Launchmetrics data indicates that Shah Rukh Khan's Met Gala appearance generated a substantial $19 million in Media Impact Value (MIV).

Lewis Hamilton, in a white Wales Bonner ensemble, secured the second spot with $9.4M in MIV. Diljit Dosanjh followed, earning $7.3M in MIV, rounding out the top three.

For his Met Gala debut in 2025, Shah Rukh Khan sported a custom all-black Sabyasachi Mukherjee design. His outfit, in line with the event's theme, featured a long coat crafted from premium Tasmanian wool. He paired this with a black crepe de chine silk shirt and tailored superfine wool trousers. A pleated satin kamarbandh added the finishing touch to his bespoke look, complemented by multiple necklaces, including a diamond-studded 'K'.

He praised the theme, ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,’ explaining, “I liked what it stood for—the concept of revolution and resolution, not through anger or fighting, but by being exuberant and artistic. Dressing up in a way that made a statement."

Shah Rukh Khan, on X (formerly Twitter), thanked Sabyasachi Mukherjee for his Met Gala experience. "Thx Sabyasachi & ur whole team for introducing me to the Met Gala. It’s not my ‘space’ but u made me feel so comfortable…becos u, like me, believe…Style & Fashion…is just being who you are. And all of u made me feel like a ‘K’!" King Khan wrote, sharing photos from the event.

In a Vogue interview, Shah Rukh Khan discussed his Met Gala debut, expressing his nerves and excitement as the first Indian male actor at the event. He explained, "I don't know about history and I am extremely nervous and excited. Sabyasachi Mukherjee has convinced me to come here. I've not done too many red carpets, I'm very shy. For me is the first time." He added that his children's enthusiasm influenced his decision: "For me, the most exciting is I have little kids who are excited about Met... they went wow so I still don't know is it, 'Wow they called you' or 'Wow, you'll be good on it'."
