“Words fail to express the sadness and anger at the treachery and inhumane act of violence that has occurred in Pahalgam,” he wrote. “In times like these, one can only turn to God and say a prayer for the families that suffered and express my deepest condolences. May we as a Nation, stand united, strong and get justice against this heinous act.”

The actor's statement has come a day after the Pahalgam attack. The attack in Pahalgam, which occurred on April 22, was reportedly carried out by The Resistance Front, a Pakistan-based terror outfit believed to be affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. Tourists were targeted, leaving dozens injured and several dead in one of Kashmir’s busiest travel seasons.
