The anticipation for OMG 2 is at its peak as fans eagerly await the film's official trailer. According to reports from the Times of India, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has awarded the trailer a 'U/A' certificate. However, the CBFC has ordered 20 cuts in the movie and insisted on changing Akshay Kumar's character.

For those unfamiliar, Akshay Kumar portrays the role of Lord Shiva in OMG 2. The trailer is expected to be released one week before the scheduled release date of the film, which is set for August 11. Currently, the teaser of OMG 2 is being shown in cinema halls with the note, 'Awaiting Certification.'

The demand for changing Akshay's character as Lord Shiva has sparked discussions about potentially postponing the film's release date. The numerous cuts and the 'U/A' certificate for the trailer might affect the essence of the film, as the makers believe that the topic of sex should be accessible to audiences of all ages.

According to a report from TOI, the makers believe in shifting the release date from August 11 as they want to fight against the changes suggested by the committee and also line up proper promotion of the film.

Directed by Amit Rai, OMG 2 features a stellar cast, including Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, Arun Govil, Govind Namdeo, and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles. As the filmmakers navigate the certification process and contemplate potential changes, fans remain eager to witness the unique blend of satire and social commentary that OMG 2 promises to deliver.
