Denying reports that his forthcoming film "Satyagraha" has resemblance to Anna Hazare's movement against corruption, director Prakash Jha said that he is not trying to be judgemental about the social activist's movement.

Jha also said that he drew inspiration for the film from the mass protests around the world.

According to reports, Anna's camp members said the film has resemblances to Anna's movement against corruption and they have also pointed out resemblance between real people and the characters in the political thriller.

"Anna Hazare's movement mobilised common people. In my film, the movement and its logic is completely different. I'm not trying to be judgemental about Anna Hazare's movement, and I don't want anyone to be judgemental about my film," Jha said in a statement.

"Any suspicion linking with Hazare's movement is uncalled for. But there is nothing I can do about that," he added.

The film, set to hit the screens Aug 30, features Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles.
