Janhvi Kapoor's debut film 'Dhadak' released this Friday and has received a good amount of positive response from the critics as well as the audience.

Earlier, in one of her interviews, Janhvi had shared that her mother wasn't willing to let her take up acting as her career.

So, during our recent interaction, when we (India-forums.com) asked her, if not an actress, what did her mom and legendary actress Sridevi wanted her to become, she instantly replied that her mommy wanted her to become a "Doctor".

"When I was a kid she really wanted me to become a doctor, I don't know why. I was like I am sorry Mom I don't have the intellect to do these things. So I told her I'll become an actress but don't worry I'll play the role of a doctor sometime."

Further, when another reporter asked her if she recalls the moment she told her mother (Sridevi) that she wants to become an actress, to this she said: "Yes, I remember it. There were a lot of sounds... there was a lot of 'Aiyoo', Katle.. But I think she knew. She knew it ki yeh keeda hai bechari mein."

Janhvi is currently basking in the compliments and accolades for her debut film 'Dhadak' that released on July 20, 2018. The film also marks the Bollywood debut of Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khattar.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, and produced by Karan Johar under his home banner, Dharma Productions, 'Dhadak' is an adaptation of blockbuster Marathi film 'Sairat'.
