Newlyweds Kalki & Anurag

BollyCurry is here to bring you an exclusive look at B-Towns latest newlyweds, Kalki Koechlin and Anurag Kashyap.

While the world zoomed into the fairytale marriage of Prince Williams and Kate Middleton, this couple tied the knot on 30 April, in a traditional and quiet South Indian ceremony in Kalahatti. 

The bride looked elegant, dressed in a white sari with red border, topped off with zari work while the groom wore a simple white kurta and dhoti.

It seems simplicity was the main theme of this affair since sources tell us the union was solemnized with the pair seated under a mango tree and the guests were served a traditional South Indian vegetarian fare, cooked by Kalki's mother, on banana leaves!

According to sources, the guest list was limited to around 40 family members and a few close friends. Anurag's brother Abhinav, director of Dabangg, was present along with Udaan director Vikramaditya Motwane and wife Ishita, Rahul Bhatt, Vikas Bahl, who worked with Anurag on Dev D and actor-composer Piyush Mishra. 

The celebrations continued into the evening after which the newlyweds returned to Mumbai. Buzz has it that the pair have put their honeymoon plans on hold to accommodate Anurag's next film Shaitan, which also stars Kalki, due to release on June 10.
