The Narcotics Control Bureau summoned the actor's driver for questioning in the latest development in the drug case involving Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan.
According to reports, Khan's driver is currently being questioned by the agency. This is said to be part of the investigation to uncover any previous links that Aryan may have had with the drug-purchasing process.
This comes just a day after Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate R.M. Nerlikar denied bail to Aryan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha, reiterating the NCB's claims.
Satish Maneshinde, Khan's lawyer, told the court that the narcotics agency found no drugs on the star kid and that allegations that he was in contact with drug dealers were false.
According to the narcotics agency, Khan communicated with drug dealers on a regular basis, as evidenced by WhatsApp messages. It was not stated whether any drugs were discovered in Khan's possession when he was arrested.
Government attorney Anil Singh, stated that Khan's release could jeopardise the case and claimed that he and the others were "regular users of contraband"
“They are influential people . There is a chance of tampering with evidence. Had it been one person with a small quantity, it would be different. We have a lot of material. Protection like bail at this stage will hamper the investigation." Singh said.
Lawyers for the accused told the media that, while the detailed reasoning for the order will be released later, they intend to apply for bail to the Sessions Court on Monday.
