Nana Patekar reflects on OTT's impact: "Humare jaise chehre le ke aaye hue log ko..."

Nana Patekar, known for his candid and straightforward manner, expressed, "Uss waqt hum ko chance milta nahi tha. Humare jaise chehre le ke aaye hue log ko." In simpler words, during his early years in the industry, opportunities were limited for actors with average looks like himself, as well as esteemed artists like Om Puri, Irrfan, Manoj Bajpayee, and Raghubir Yadav. However, the tide has turned with the rise of OTT platforms, providing a stage where talents shine, and the audience embraces artists for their skills rather than their appearance.

Contemporary stars often rise or fall based on the box office success of a few weeks, leaving behind a fleeting legacy.

Nana Patekar's return to the silver screen in 'The Vaccine War' is eagerly awaited by fans and critics alike. In the film, he portrays the role of the head of the Indian scientist team responsible for developing India's first vaccine against COVID-19 during the pandemic. This intriguing project also features talented actors Anupam Kher, Raima Sen, Sapthami Gowda, and Pallavi Joshi in pivotal roles.
