Nagraj Manjule on 'Ghar Banduk Biryani': One cannot control or predict things, but it get what it deserves

Ghar Banduk Biryani, an Indian Marathi-language action comedy film, marks the directorial debut of Hemant Jangal Awtade. Zee Studios and Nagraj Popatrao Manjule co-produced this entertaining movie. In a recent conversation with India Forums Nagraj Manjule opened up about the film.  When asked, "If you could look back and change something in the film, what would it be?"

To this he responded, 

"You cannot make changes once the final product is made. You can make changes in the present, work and strive hard. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. Success and failure cannot be repaired. Your work should speak for you. Even when I made Sairat, I put in 100% efforts and left it in the hands of the audience. The entire Maharashtra showered so much love on the film." 

He further added, 

"Similarly, I am sure the audience has loved Ghar Banduk Biryani. I am confident the film will garner the appreciation it deserves on ZEE5. Having said that, one cannot control or predict things. One must keep working hard sincerely without room for regrets."

When asked, "Your last film, Jhund released on ZEE5 too. Do you feel streaming platforms are helping regional films gain a wider reach / exposure?"

To this he replied, 

"Yes, definitely. In olden days, TV was a traditional medium for entertainment and it had its own schedule. OTT is a medium which is available 24/7 and you can watch it at your comfort."
