Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai writer Manoj Santoshi passes away after long battle with Liver Cancer

The news of Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai screen writer Manoj Santoshi battling with Liver Cancer spread like wild fire on the internet a few months ago. Being taken care of by actress Shilpa Shinde, who earlier essayed the character of 'Angoori bhabhi' on the show, Manoj has now passed away.

Our source closely associated to the show informs us that Santoshi, who had put up a long battle with the disease has eventually succumbed to it. ''Manoj passed away early morning today in his hometown Aligarh. His family was present with him,'' our source informs us.

While the news of the writer's death has not been shared by the production house or the actors of Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai yet, our source, confirming the news reveals to us that Santoshi has succumbed to the disease.

The news of Manoj's battle with liver cancer was first shared by actress Kavita Kaushik sometime ago. The actress, taking to her social media handled had revealed that the screen writer was diagnosed with the disease sometime ago and the producers of Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai were looking after him. Kaushik had also lauded Shilpa Shinde for taking care of Manoj.

Taking to her Instagram handle, the actress had shared an inside video of Manoj and had asked everyone to pray for him. She wrote, ''You may know him as thw writer of Bhabhi ji ghar par hai, Happu paltan, jeeja ji chatth par , Madam may i come in , last few episodes of f.i.r , yes boss , and various other comedies.... Today i ask you all to Pray for Manoj Santoshi.. as he is in the hospital with a crumbling liver, Angels like @binaiferkohli and her entire team is fighting to save him, pls pray for this wonderful human, big shout out to the amazing @shilpa_shinde_official for taking care of him ?? let's all pray for him to revive back , may his pen have ink for several years to come , my the world see more of his creative talent , May this team not be deprived of their friend, their bundle of creativity and joy , their buddy their partner , I'm sending love to each and every one affected by this and praying day and night for a miracle.''
