Chennai, Oct 26 (IANS) Actor Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is likely to feature in the Telugu remake of recent Punjabi hit "Singh v/s Kaur". Veteran producer D. Ramanaidu, who had produced the original, plans to remake the film in Telugu as well.

"Ramanaidu plans to remake the film with Chaitanya. If everything goes as planned, the film will go on floors from December. The cast and crew will only be finalised after Chaitanya gives a nod to the project," a source from D. Ramanaidu's Suresh Productions told IANS.

Under his banner, Ramanaidu has produced films in several Indian languages like Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi, but mostly Telugu over the years.

Suresh Productions, which completes 50 years in operation in November, plans to do a family multi-starrer soon.

"He (Ramanaidu) has plans to do a film featuring his son Venkatesh and grandsons Rana, Naga Chaitanya and Abhiram. This project has been on his mind for very long, but is likely to go on floors soon," the source added.

Punjabi romantic-comedy "Singh v/s Kaur" was one of the sleeper hits of the year. This low-budget film featuring Gippy Grewal and Surveen Chawla reportedly raked in over Rs. 20 crore at the box-office.
