Most TV actors would give an arm and a leg to participate in a reality show!! But Karan Mehra
is happy being on the other side of the fence in Sahara One’s Saas V/s Bahu, which he is anchoring.
“I have 22 left feet. I’m a terrible dancer, but I still have to dance a bit during the casting of the show,” says Karan. And anchoring is also something he thought he was bad at till the show happened. Apparently, the duty of anchoring has made him nervous and scared even though he is excited doing it. But guess where he gets his confidence from? “The participants’ nervousness,” he laughs, “I think some of them are seasoned actors and great dancers and if they can be so nervous, so why not me? And it is nice to have someone feel the same as you,” he reasons. Karan is also happier anchoring because there is a lot of freedom and he gets to do what he wants to, which is go ballistic and pull the artistes’ legs! “And finally I get to be known as Karan Mehra
and not by a character’s name,” he says.
With this show, Karan adds yet another feather into his cap and has become richer in knowledge. “I never used to watch a single show and I was totally ignorant when the show started. But now I know over 100 people of the TV industry, their shows names, character names and real names!” he says. What has him amazed is that there are so many wonderful people in the industry who he didn’t know earlier at all. “After anchoring the show, now my knowledge of the industry is a lot more,” he says.
