Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukon in Tamasha

In 21st century, most of us are living that same old boring life, doing what we are told is right to do and do not question on why we would, just like a robot. Just to be a part of that so called race, which no one knows what is it for, we keep running and running. If in case our sweet little innocent side peeks up and reminds how special we were as a kid, we kill it. This how we all are a part of 'Tamasha' (Drama), being what we are not.

Talking about the story of the film, Ved (Ranbir Kapoor) and Tara (Deepika Padukone) meet in Causica and decides not to say anything true about themselves (just like you have seen in trailers) and decided not to meet again after that, because 'Whatever happens in Caursica, stays in Caursica'. They meet, they enjoy, they flirt, fall in love and booom... it's time for Tara to leave. However, faith takes Tara to the same city where Ved lives. They meet again but Tara sees that he is not the man she met in Causica. She finds a man who lives a robotic life. So what happens then? That should only be disclosed in the film.

First half shows both sides of Ved, the fun-loving-live-in-the-moment guy and the robotic one. And second half reveals why he is leading that robotic life which he is actually not. Though the first half is a visual treat, story wise it is little stretched. Second part is more fun to watch, specially with Ved's character shifts.

Ranbir Kapoor stole the show. Whether playing the serious guy, the short tempered frustrated guy or the fun loving, he is just flawless. Though Deepika Padukone is a great actress but in this film, Ranbir's performance over shadowed her. In the list of other actors, only Vivek Mushran could make his presence felt as a Sindhi business man.

The movie is a combination of both funny and emotional moments. The comic timing is great and the dialogue writer has done quite a good job. Songs are good and goes with the flow. Though sometimes you might think the movie is too slow, but every twist will surely surprise you.

All in all, Tamasha is a great movie with a hidden message for all those who are leading a robotic life. It just inspires you to listen to your heart. Well directed film and Ranbir Kapoor is a treat to watch.
