Deepika Padukone Picks Between Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in Old Clip

Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone once found herself in a tricky spot when asked to choose between Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. Both actors have worked with her in multiple films and are loved by audiences for their distinct acting styles. In an old interview during the promotions of Tamasha, Deepika was asked who she thought was the better actor between the two. Her response won many hearts and showed her grace and maturity.

The question came during a conversation with NDTV, where a fan wanted to know who Deepika felt was the better performer – Ranbir or Ranveer. Smiling, Deepika replied, “It’s like saying do you prefer your mother or your father.” Ranbir, sitting beside her, jokingly added, “I want to be the father.” The moment brought laughter, but Deepika gave a meaningful answer. She said, “I just feel like we are constantly comparing all the time—whether it’s films, actors, this co-star or that. We don’t have to keep comparing all the time. His personality and Ranveer’s personality and the different kind of work they do—we have to appreciate and accept them for the way they are.”

For those who don’t know, Deepika and Ranbir were once in a relationship after working together in Bachna Ae Haseeno. She even got a tattoo of his initials. Though they parted ways, the two remained good friends and acted together in films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Tamasha.

Deepika later found love with Ranveer Singh, and their on-screen chemistry turned into real-life romance. After delivering blockbuster films like Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and 83, the couple tied the knot in 2018. In 2024, they welcomed their daughter, Dua, into the world.

As for their upcoming projects, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in Ramayana by Nitesh Tiwari and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War. Deepika is prepping for Kalki 2898 AD sequel, while Ranveer has Dhurandhar and Don 3 lined up. All three actors continue to shine in their own unique way, making comparisons unnecessary.
