The film is about a Rajput boy ( well, that's very important for everyone to know), Ranvir ( Vir Das) trying to find his long lost mama, Gulshan Grover in the dunes of a Rajasthani village as he needs him to rightfully claim his ancestral property. Enters, Gulshan Grover and that's the most disturbing sight I have witnessed in the recent times. He comes in a red langot with a bulging belly and Oh God, I did not sign up for that. Why is he roaming around in the film in a red langot is a question that should really be answered. Nephew meets uncle after ages, city boy comes to a village for the first time, city boy falls in love with the pretty village girl and everyone starts to dance in the sand dunes out of the blue. Again, I would want to ask...Why?

Vir Das who is brilliant at stand up comedy is a wasted talent in this one. His potential has been not used at all in this flick. This 2 hour film really seemed like something that would never end.
All in all, Sooper Se Ooper shows no potential and if you decide to stay at home and sleep during the weekend than watch this, you'll be happy.
