Meet the new faces of MJHT

We already know that Star One's Miley Jab Hum Tum, produced by Sunshine Productions and Endemol is taking a leap of about three years tonight!!

TellyBuzz was the first to inform our readers that Sreejita De, Nikkhil Chaddha, Meer Ali and Kruti are the new leads entering the show.

The character of Ashwini (Ash) played by Sreejita De is a typical rebel who lives life by her own rules. She is a college drop-out and happens to join Excel College. Nikkhil Chaddha on the other hand is a typical Casanova, who is super rich. The girls fall for him at first sight; he is a guy who is happy-go-lucky, and fun loving.

TellyBuzz talked to Sreejita De who talked about her character. "MJHT is a youth based show, and I was looking for such a youth oriented role. I am for the first time portraying a westernized girl who is a tough nut to crack. She has seen a lot in life, and holds herself responsible for the death of her parents. This is the reason why she has built a hard shell around her, even though she is very soft from within".

According to our source, "Ash who has a carefree attitude when it comes to men will fall for Samrat (Mohit Sehgal) who also is going thro' a similar phase in life as Ash. They both will have a bike scene wherein they take part in the race which is actually a trap to death. As the story unfolds, Rohan (Nikkhil Chaddha) will have a story going with Ash".

We also talked to Nikkhil Chaddha who portrays the role of Rohan. Nikkhil was last seen essaying a negative role in COLORS' Maat Pitaah Ki Charnon Mein Swarg. "This is the only youth based show that is on air, and I am happy to have got into it. I am the John Travolta of the college, who is super rich, who loves to woo girls and feels happy when he sees girls falling for him. I am loving the stylization given to my character; I will be seen wearing the jackets, t-shirts with spiked hair", informs Nikkhil.

His entry sequence is something that every actor dreams of. "I enter the college in a jeep, and jump out of it. And the moment I get out, the girls watch me and stare at me (smiles)".

Sreejita and Nikkhil understand that they have a tough job in hand to connect to the fans who have been watching the popular faces of Season One.

"We are doing our best, and will appeal to the fans to watch us and support us", says Sreejita.

Nikkhil too avers, "I understand that the viewers have been connecting to the show for the past one and half years, and it is tough for them to accept the leap and new faces. We have to be patient, and we are working hard. It will take bit of time for the viewers to connect to us, but we are confident".
