Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul have embraced parenthood as they welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on March 24, 2025. The couple shared the heartwarming news on Instagram through a joint post. The couple kept the caption simple with just an angel emoji, expressing their immense joy. Athiya’s brother, Ahan Shetty, also shared the post on his Instagram story, celebrating his new role as an uncle.

As soon as the news broke, several Bollywood celebrities poured in their congratulations. Arjun Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Masaba Gupta, Sagarika Ghatge, and Shanaya Kapoor were among the first to shower love on the new parents. Arjun playfully commented, “🥟 is here !!! #squishy !!! Athiya and KL Rahul had announced their pregnancy in November 2024. They shared a heartfelt note, saying, “Our beautiful blessing is coming soon. 2025.” While they didn’t disclose Athiya’s due date, Suniel Shetty had earlier hinted that the baby was expected in April. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he said, “Right now, the grandchild is the only topic of conversation, and we don’t want any other conversation. We are just looking forward to meeting the little one in April.”

Just weeks before the baby’s arrival, Athiya shared dreamy pictures from her maternity shoot with KL Rahul. The pictures, which quickly went viral, showcased the couple’s love and excitement. Athiya and KL Rahul first met in 2019 through a mutual friend. They tied the knot in January 2023 at Suniel Shetty’s Khandala farmhouse in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends. This January, they celebrated their second wedding anniversary, with Athiya marking the occasion by sharing a romantic picture and captioning it, “Happy 2 to my forever.”
