Mumbai, Nov 3 (IANS) The grand finale of the first edition of Aamby Valley India Bridal Week (AVIBW) ended with ace designer Manish Malhotra bringing down the curtain with panache.

Usually Malhotra's shows attract B-town celebs, but the scene was different at the AVIBW finale Tuesday - it was high on panache and style and low on Bollywood quotient.

The collection comprised of 60 garments (48 women's and 12 men's wear). From panelled backless gowns to lehengas and saris along with Kalidar Kurtas, the collection had stunning designs.

The colours ranged from ruby red and blue sapphire to emerald green and pink. Use of velvet motifs sprinkled with antique silver and dull gold work made the clothes standout.

The men's clothes were designed sophisticatedly. They comprised of black sherwanis, grey green shaded silk jackets, striped ivory kurtas - many with selective embroidery - and were teamed with billowy salwars, Turkish pants or cowled churidars.

From Bollywood a few celebs like Sridevi, Arjan Bajwa, Amrita Arora and Aarti Chhabria were seen in the guest gallery. Other than them, TV actors Shilpa Saklani, Rakshanda Khan and Nigar Khan too were present at the event.
