Salman Khan's fans are in shock and concern following a recent shooting incident outside his Mumbai home. Adding to the worry, Navi Mumbai police revealed on June 1, 2024, that another attack on the actor was planned while he was en route to his Panvel farmhouse. Four individuals were arrested in connection with this plot last week.
According to reports, the Navi Mumbai Police detained four suspects linked to Lawrence Bishnoi's gang, suspected of orchestrating a second attack on Salman Khan. A senior police official in Panvel received a tip-off indicating that gang members were residing in the Panvel-Kalamboli area and were monitoring Khan's Bandra residence, his Panvel farmhouse, and various filming locations.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Pansare, as reported by the Indian Express, confirmed the arrests. He explained, "The accused had been planning to target the actor for a long time and had stayed in Panvel." When questioned about the Mumbai incident, Pansare elaborated, "Bishnoi has several groups working independently of each other, and we suspect one gang was conducting a recce in Panvel while the other was in Mumbai."
The individuals arrested by the Navi Mumbai Police have been identified as Dhananjay Tapesingh alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahvi, Vapsi Khan alias Waseem Chikna, and Rizwan Khan.
Police statements indicate that Kashyap was in contact with a person in Pakistan named Dogar to acquire AK-47 rifles for the attack. The plan involved hiding after the attack and regrouping in Kanyakumari before fleeing to Sri Lanka. Authorities are now interrogating the four arrested individuals to determine if they were involved in the Bandra incident.
