The whole thing started with how Kiran Rao spoke about how stalking in glorified in Hindi cinema as wooing. While she said that she did not take the name of Kabir Singh, Vanga maintained that she had mentioned his movie. He said that she should retrospect on the kind of films her superstar ex-husband has done. He was referring to Dil where Aamir Khan’s character did some objectionable things. She retorted that he should be asking him, and not her. It should be noted that Aamir Khan was a silent participant in the whole matter. He did not address Vanga directly. While Rao spoke in a dignified way, he termed her as “Uss Aurat” which many found too derogatory.
