Kriti Sanon to begin shooting for 'Don 3' after Tere Ishk Mein - Reports

Kriti Sanon, who is currently filming Tere Ishk Mein alongside Dhanush, may reportedly shift her focus to Farhan Akhtar’s much-anticipated action franchise Don 3 soon. As per sources close to the development, Sanon is expected to begin shooting for the film right after completing her ongoing project.

Don 3, which stars Ranveer Singh in the titular role, has already garnered significant buzz. Reports suggest that the film is scheduled to go on floors in September. Though an official statement from Sanon or the production team is still awaited, industry insiders have hinted that she has already blocked her dates for the shoot.

A source allegedly close to Sanon told Zoom, “Kriti is currently shooting for Tere Ishk Mein and post that, she will start shooting for her next big project, which is yet to be announced by her. She’s juggling multiple projects and is booked for at least a year.”

The actress's look from Tere Ishk Mein was revealed earlier this year, portraying her in an intense and emotionally heavy role. The film, directed by Aanand L Rai, is said to be a spiritual continuation of the Raanjhanaa universe. With music by A.R. Rahman and lyrics by Irshad Kamil, the film is set for release on 28 November 2025 in both Hindi and Tamil.

Meanwhile, Don 3 continues to attract speculation. While Singh's casting was confirmed last year, recent reports suggest that actor Vikrant Massey might join the project as the antagonist. However, this has not been confirmed officially.

Sanon was last seen in Do Patti, which also marked her debut as a producer. Her 2024 film lineup included Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya with Shahid Kapoor and Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu—both commercially successful.

Although Farhan Akhtar announced Don 3 in August 2023, the full cast has not yet been formally revealed. With filming reportedly starting soon, more details are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.

For now, the question remains—will Kriti Sanon step into the action-thriller world of Don? All signs point in that direction, but an official word is still awaited.
