Taking to his official Twitter handle, Karan Johar, who is bankrolling the project, confirmed the same.
Ramya Krishnan, Charmi and Ronit Roy Bose will be seen in important roles in the same film. Liger is directed by Puri Jagannadh.
Earlier this year Karan had taken to Twitter and shared that the movie will see a theatrical release. Alongside the post, Karan shared a clip featuring Ananya and Charmme Kaur.
In the video, the Student of The Year 2 star shared that the movie will be released in 5 Indian languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
The film was set to release in theatres on September 9.
However, due to the uncertainty surrounding theatres reopening, the makers decided to postpone the film.
