‘Kindly don’t fall in any trap,’ Sonu Sood warns Migrant workers against fake help funds asking for donation

Sonu Sood has directed his efforts towards relieving the plight of migrant workers and students who are stuck in different parts of the nation. From arranging busses to making food donations, Sood has done it all and he continues to do so as the number of migrants seek help through social media.

Migrants have been desperate to go home and they continue to hike towards their native homes amid the nationwide lockdown. However, during such desperate times some even tend to play their games and deceive the poor for their own benefits. 

It seems Sonu’s heroic efforts of helping migrant workers are in vain as some tried to loot the poor under the name of ‘majdoor help fund’.

Now, the Dabangg actor has taken to his twitter handle to warn his fans against fake help funds using his name. Falsifying a ‘majdoor help fund’ in his name asking for donation, Sonu wrote, “Kindly don’t fall in any trap. There are many fakes trying to take the advantage. So please report to the nearest police station.”

For the uninitiated, Sonu Sood and his friend Neeti Goel started the #GharBhejo initiative to help migrants reach home. 

Sood recently funded another chartered flight to help fly over 170 migrant workers to Dehradun in Uttarakhand from the city, in an aircraft operated by budget airline AirAsia India.

Not just this, since the number of Coronavirus cases is on a surge, and hordes of migrant workers are waiting to get back home, Sonu Sood said that he would be arranging more such flights in the future.

Sood continues to risk his own and his family’s health, and steps out daily so that work runs smoothly. After Union minister Smriti Irani and cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, Ajay Devgn has taken to social media to hail the talented actor's work.
