Kim Soo-Hyun Scandal: Good Day show sees drop in TRP ratings after actor's parts are omitted?

Kim Soo-Hyun, the actor who has done Korean dramas like Queen Of Tears, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, and more is at the epicentre of a huge scandal in South Korea. He has been accused by the family of late Kim Sae-Ron of grooming their daughter when she was a minor. In his press conference, Kim Soo-Hyun firmly denied dating her when she a minor. He said they were together for little more than a year after she turned 19. It is the legal age of consent in South Korea. However, the family of Kim Sae-Ron has shared evidences like Kakao Talk chats, screenshots and one letter written to her by him when he was serving time in the military.

Kim Soo-Hyun was a part of GDragon’s show Good Day. After this whole scandal broke out, the makers removed his part from the final cut approved for TV viewing. It looks like the show saw a huge drop in viewership. From 4.3 it came down to 3. While there is anger against Kim Soo-Hyun from a certain section on social media, many foreign fans feel that he is innocent till he is pronounced guilty by a Court of Law.

The Garo Sero Research Institute has gone quiet on the matter since some days. In the meantime, Lee Jin-Ho has revealed that Kim Sae-Ron’s side has not submitted forensics of the Kakao Talk to the authorities as yet. The names of two more people might come up if social media is to be believed. Top actors like Jung Hae-In, Ahn Boh-yun and Im Si-Wan unfollowed all celebs after being under pressure to cut ties on social media with Kim Soo-Hyun. Many have criticized them saying that they are showing silent support for their long-time friend. Let’s us hope the court of law brings the matter to its proper closure and justice is delivered.
