Kim Soo-Hyun breaks down in press conference; 'Being forced to admit lies'

Kim Soo-Hyun in a 15 to 20 minute long conference broke down as he addressed the whole controversy of Kim Sae-Ron. He again reiterated that he had been dating the actress since the time she was of legal age. He denied seeing her when she was a minor. It seems the relationship lasted for a year. He also gave an explanation of why he denied the dating rumours during Queen Of Tears. The show was a huge money-spinner for Netflix Korea in 2024. Kim Soo-Hyun said he wanted to protect the team and cast of the show. The actor looked composed all through other than when he wept in front of the press.

Netizens have slammed him saying that he did not address any main questions like the grooming allegations, coercion to make debt payment and so on. Kim Soo-Hyun also said that he wonders what would have happened if he spoke up from day one. He said it is painful to see that late Kim Sae-Ron is not able to rest in peace and their private life is being dug out in front of the media. His law firm has said they will sue Kim Sae-Ron’s family for 12 billion Korean won. This is around Rs 70 crores in Indian currency.

He said he is being forced to admit lies due to the blackmail tactics of Kim Sae-Ron’s family and Garo Sero Institute. He said she could not have written the wrong dates in their correspondence and they dated when she was an adult. Kim Soo-Hyun said the Kakao Talk screenshots are fake. His fans from Brazil have sent him support trucks in this testing period. He said he has responsibilities in life and is scared of the blackmailing tactics of the deceased’s family. People are livid that he did not take her name but addressed her as a departed person i.e. deceased.
