Review by India Forums

Set against the backdrop of colonial India in 1919, The Case That Shook The Empire is a quiet yet powerful historical courtroom drama that delves into the lesser-known story of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Directed by debutant Karan Singh Tyagi and based on the book by Raghu and Pushpa Palat, the film follows the courageous journey of C. Sankaran Nair as he fights relentlessly to expose the truth behind the tragic event. This is not your typical patriotic film with jingoistic chants or over-the-top heroism; it offers a nuanced and gripping account of a pivotal moment in history.
