The vocal member of the HYBE girl group Lara has Tamil roots. Her family has been based in Los Angeles for a long time. Lara Raj whose full name is Lara Rajagopalan has been a good singer since childhood. Indian K-Pop fans are upset seeing that she did not put up a single story for the Indian Armed Forces fighting against Pakistan.

Her fans have defended her saying that she might have Indian ethnicity but her nationality is American. Lara is born in the US. However, she introduced herself in Tamil when Katseye was unveiled to the world. Unlike Lara Raj, Aria from XIN and Sriya Lenka from Blackswan have acknowledged the role of Indian soldiers. But both the girls have Indian nationality. A lot of netizens have said that NRIs are always at the forefront when it comes to using Indian aesthetics but when it comes to something like this, they are quiet.
