There has been skepticism in the Hindi film industry over the release of 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo's Hindi dubbed version as the Hindi remake version of the same, titled 'Shehzada', starring Kartik Aaryan is under production.

The Hindi version of Allu Arjun's 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' was going to hit the big screen on January 26. Producer Manish Shah has the rights to the film’s Hindi-dubbed version. He was looking forward to the release of the film in theatres

However, the theatrical release of the film got cancelled after a meeting with the makers of 'Shehzada'. In a recent interaction with a news portal, Manish revealed that Kartik Aaryan threatened to quit 'Shehzada' if 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' was released in Hindi. Yes, you read that right.

He told the news portal that the makers of 'Shehzada' were not keen to release the Hindi version in cinemas. He further revealed that Kartik had said if the movie was released in theatres, he would walk out of the film.

This would cause the producers a loss of Rs 40 crore. The producer said it was extremely unprofessional of him. He also revealed the reason behind stopping Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’s Hindi version from releasing in theatres. He said that he knows 'Shehzada' producers for 10 years.

He cannot have people who are close to him lose Rs 40 crore, so he had to drop it. But even after that, he ended up losing Rs 20 crore that he had spent on dubbing.

He also stated that he wanted this film to be bigger than 'Pushpa: The Rise'. If he does not release the film, he will lose money and hence, he decided to release it on his channel.

He also said that he would not have done anything for Kartik, he only did this because of Allu Arvind. Also, Allu Aravind, father of Allu Arjun, who has backed both the films - 'Shehzada' and' 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' has reached Mumbai to try and stall the release of the Hindi dubbed version of the latter.
