Kartik Aaryan’s birthday wish for Sreeleela keeps relationship speculation alive

Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan’s birthday wish for rumoured girlfriend and co-star Sreeleela on June 14 has caught attention for its playful tone. Sharing a light-hearted selfie on Instagram, Kartik affectionately called her “Monkey Face,” a nickname that hints at the duo’s off-screen camaraderie. He captioned the post, “Happy birthday Monkey Face @sreeleela14.”

The two actors are currently working together on an upcoming project directed by Anurag Basu, which is yet to be titled. The film is expected to release around Diwali 2025. Reports of a relationship between the two have been doing the rounds since they began filming. These rumours only intensified when Sreeleela was seen attending a party hosted by Kartik for his sister, sparking further speculation about their growing closeness.

Interestingly, the same day also marked a milestone for Kartik. It was the one-year anniversary of his film Chandu Champion, which portrays the life of India’s first Paralympic gold medallist, Padma Shri Murlikant Petkar. The actor shared another Instagram post announcing that the film has been officially selected for the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival.

In a heartfelt caption, Kartik expressed, “Chandu Champion will always hold a special place in my heart... it transformed me, both mentally and physically, forever.” He went on to thank director Kabir Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala for placing their trust in him, and acknowledged the support of his audience for standing by him.

He added, “Portraying Murlikant Petkar on the big screen remains one of the most honourable and incredible achievements of my life. I hope this champion journey never stops.”

While Kartik’s career milestone drew admiration, it was his playful note to Sreeleela that got fans talking. Whether their chemistry stays limited to the screen or goes beyond remains to be seen, but for now, the selfie and nickname seem to say a lot without saying too much.
