Several eminent celebrities from across the globe came together for an at-home concert on Sunday night. An initiative by Give India, this digital concert was organized to raise funds for frontline workers who need provisions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The show saw massive names like Shah Rukh Khan, Bryan Adams, Will Smith, Priyanka Chopra, Mindy Kaling, Ranveer Singh, Lily Singh, Jonas Brothers, Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and many more who performed on screen and spread information about the virus.
The concert turned out to be a massive success and has managed to raise Rs 54 crores already.
Karan Johar, who was one of the initiators of it, took to Instagram and penned a note of gratitude for all the supporters. "From our hearts to yours. Thank you for watching. Thank you for responding. Thank you for donating. I for India started out as a concert. But it can be a movement. Let’s continue to build a safe India. A healthy India. A strong India. I for India," he wrote.
