Actor R. Madhavan says his co-actor from the "Tanu and Manu" series actress Kangana Ranaut "deserved" awards for sure.
The talented actress has been lauded by many for her role in the 2015 film "Tanu Weds Manu Returns", but has not received an award for the same this year.
"I think Kangana deserved an award for sure. I think her double role was spectacular. She really deserved it, but I don't do," Madhavan told IANS.
Madhavan, whose latest film "Saala Khadoos" released on Friday, says the only reason he goes to awards shows is because he gets a chance to meet his friends.
"Actually nobody has ever given me an award and also it's not really important in my life. I go to these award shows for meeting my friends," he added.
