Janhvi Kapoor REVEALS how Boney and Khushi REACTED on seeing Dhadak

The debutant has been hailed for her performance in the film, here's what the family has to say.

Undoubtedly, Janhvi Kapoor's debut was the most talked about in the recent days. The critics and the audience among others were looking forward to see how Bollywood's iconic superstar Sridevi's daughter delivers on the big screens.

Not to our disappointment, Janhvi had put up a decent act and performed above many of our expectations. The debutant has been praised by the moviegoers for her acting skills who also see a potential in her to become a great actor one day!

While she currently absorbs the success of her debut film, Kapoor in an interview with HT revealed her dad Boney Kapoor and younger sister Khushi Kapoor's reaction on seeing Dhadak. About their reaction, she stated, "Khushi was crying She looked at me and said, 'Why are you worrying?' and then started crying again. Papa actually saw the film a month ago, and as soon as the screening was over, he went to the temple. That night he came to my room and held me tight and started crying".

Aww! Janhvi did make her family proud and with the amount of pressure she had on her shoulders to live up to the expectations, she did do a good job!

Janhvi and co-star Ishaan Khattar's 'Dhadak' has been receiving immense love from the audience. The film collected 33 crores in the first week itself. Speaking on the appreciation the film is receiving, she said, "The love has been overwhelming. More than anything else, it feels good to know that we've moved people with this message that we were trying to convey. I'm just happy about any form of acceptance, so I have a chance to work more and do better at what I love. To see my father (Boney Kapoor), Shashank Khaitan (Director) and Karan Johar (producer) feeling so proud and happy means the world to me".
