Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan welcomed their second baby, a baby boy, on February 23, 2021. The actress turned mommy for the second time after Taimur Ali Khan. The couple is taking their sweet time as they have not revealed the newborn’s name yet.
Meanwhile, here are some exciting details about the newborn’s nursery. The baby room is designed by supermodel-turned-interior designer Tapur Chatterji, who has shared some intricate details about the aesthetic flooring, wardrobes, wallpaper and more.
While speaking to Pinkvilla, Tapur shares that Bebo approached her to design her second baby’s room. Sharing the details about the room, she says:
“Just like Taimur, her second baby also has a nursery of his own. It’s a lovely room with wooden flooring and louvred off white wardrobe to match the aesthetics. I have even kept Saif’s royal background in mind, and have opted for a beautiful pastel grey European wallpaper for the room. The wallpaper has Panthers and Cheetahs on it.”
Giving out more details, Tapur says that she has used off white curtains, two olive green velvet wing chairs and a footstool to complement the room. She adds that there are some beautiful family portraits of the Pataudi family in the baby room.
“It’s like a collage on one of the walls. The room has a vintage touch, but it’s also nice and cozy.”
Furthermore, the designer shares that she prefers cool and soothing colours for a nursery and Bebo had a similar thought process too. Speaking of Saif and Kareena’s house, she says it has a ‘beautiful blend of Indian and British old-world charm.’
