In a strange turn of events; Kartik fills Naira's maang!

Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is currently showcasing the tragic end of Kartik (Mohsin Khan) and Naira's (Shivangi Joshi) marriage, as Naira decides to divorce Kartik so that he can move on with his life.

However, this decision turns out to not only be hard on the couple, but also their respective families.

In the upcoming episodes, we'll see how Naira decides to accompany Naksh (Rishi Dev), Kirti (Mohena Singh) and Naitik (Vishal Singh) back to Udaipur, as she feels guilty for Naitik not being there for Naksh in his troubled times.

And that is when she bumps into Kartik at the temple, where both of them come with their respective families, for a mahaarti.

Not realising, Kartik and Naira will be seen standing side by side, when a lady will mistakenly push Naira and she will stumble into Kartik's arms.

And that is when Naira's forehead will bump into Kartik's and his tilak will rub off on her hairline. Both get stunned seeing this and get away from each other, with Kartik leaving from there.

Later on, Devyani sees the tilak and rubs it off, which Kartik witnesses and gets sad. But Naira's mood lightens up as she thinks that maybe this is God's sign hinting at something.

Well, just when we thought the makers were out of ideas to get their lead pair in a wedding sequence (note: we have seen sindoor fly onto the maang before) they come up with yet another way to stage a situational marriage.
