'I'd spend 24 hours of my day with her': YRKKH's Rohit Purohit on wife Sheena Bajaj & parenthood

Rohit Purohit, currently winning hearts as Armaan in Rajan Shahi’s long-running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, recently opened up about fatherhood and what it truly feels like to work with his wife, actress Sheena Bajaj.

What’s keeping Rohit moving forward these days is the anticipation of becoming a father. His wife Sheena is expecting, and the joy and awe in his voice are unmistakable. “When Sheena and I shared the news on social media, we were overwhelmed with the love and blessings. It felt like the whole world was cheering for us.”

He adds, “I do want to take at least a week off, but it depends on the schedule. Daily soaps don’t leave you with much flexibility. Still, I just want to be there when Sheena goes into labor. I really want to be by her side.”

Rohit describes their bond with their baby in the most tender terms. “We’ve already created this beautiful connection. Around midnight, the baby gets super active. We sing, we talk, and the baby responds—those kicks and punches make it feel so real.”

Reflecting on the first time he felt the baby kick, Rohit says, “Sheena had told me during the day, and when I finally felt it myself, we both just looked at each other and got so emotional. It made everything feel real—this little life is ours.”

Talking about his journey with Sheena, both on and off-screen, Rohit is full of admiration. “Working with Sheena was always special. Seeing her passion and commitment on set—it was so inspiring. She fought for what she believed in, she never backed down. That drive of hers? It made me want to spend my life with her.”

Would he work with her again? “If it were up to me, I’d spend all 24 hours of my day with her. If no one gives us the opportunity to work together again, we’ll create one ourselves.”
