India Forums is back with an updated list of the top 5 shows from the last week. This week’s TRP chart has delivered a major surprise, with Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) reclaiming its place at the top. The ever-popular comedy series has leaped ahead of all its competitors, dethroning Anupamaa, which has dominated the charts for months. Let’s take a closer look at the week’s top five television shows and how they fared in the ratings game.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

After weeks of steady performance, TMKOC has made a remarkable comeback, soaring from the fourth position to number one. The show recorded 2.2 TRP points this week, a sharp jump from its 1.7 points last week. This increase marks one of the biggest single-week gains in recent months. Viewers appear to have reconnected with the light-hearted humor and fresh storytelling that the show has reintroduced and the 'bhootni track' on the show may have got the viewers hooked.
Anupamaa

While Anupamaa slipped to the second position this week, its viewership numbers actually improved slightly. The show earned 2.1 TRP points, up from 2.0 last week. Though it lost the top spot, the family drama remains immensely popular, and this minor dip in ranking does not overshadow its consistent performance. The emotional depth and strong character arcs continue to keep audiences invested. The current track of Anupamaa revolves around Anu moving to Mumbai, leaving the Shahs and Kotharis behind.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

This long-running family saga climbed into the third position, showing steady growth in its viewership. YRKKH posted 2.0 TRP points, improving from 1.9 the previous week. The show’s ongoing narrative twists seem to be paying off, pulling in both loyal fans and new viewers. It’s a strong week for the show, especially as it reclaims a spot in the top three. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is currently led by Samridhii Shukla and Rohit Purohit.
Udne Ki Aasha:

Despite maintaining the same TRP rating of 1.9 as last week, Udne Ki Aasha dropped a spot to fourth place. The stagnation in its numbers allowed other shows to move ahead. While it remains a solid performer, this ranking shift highlights the highly competitive nature of prime-time TV, where even a small dip in momentum can lead to reshuffling. The past few weeks have shown major rating drop to the Kanwar Dhillon and Neha Harsora starrer.
Advocate Anjali Awasthi

Holding on to the fifth position, Shritama Mitra's Advocate Anjali Awasthi saw a subtle dip in its ratings. This week, it stayed at 1.4 TRP points, but the lack of growth kept it at the bottom of the top five. The show continues to carve its niche in the courtroom drama genre, but it may need a narrative boost to climb higher in the rankings. For the uninformed, the show is also all set to take a generation leap.
Apart from the above mentioned shows, while Vasudha and Mangal Lakshmi continue maintaining its stand in the top 10 race, Abrar Qazi's recently launched show 'Kabhi Neem Neem Kabhi Shehad Shehad' has seen a significant dip. In a similar manner, Jhanak leap too has failed to impress the viewers and as for Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, the show continues spiralling beyond any damage control.
This week’s TRP chart tells a compelling story of comeback, consistency, and fierce competition. TMKOC’s jump to the top proves that audience loyalty can be reignited, while Anupamaa and YRKKH remain steady anchors of Indian television. With newer shows fighting to stay relevant, the next week could bring even more surprises in the TRP race. Did you happen to spot your favourite show on the top 5 race?
