I wish she reach heights of success: Shagun Pandey on Pranali Rathod being the lead in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata

Star Plus show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ is set to take the generation leap. Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi have been eased out of the show while new actors are set to take the legacy forward. Actors Harshad Chopda, Pranali Rathod and Karishma Sawant have been roped in to play lead roles in show that of Abhimanyu Birla, Akshara Goenka and Aarohi Goenka respectively in the show. Post leap episodes will start airing on Star Plus from tonight onwards.

India Forums got in touch with Shagun Pandey who has worked with Pranali Rathod in Sony TV show ‘Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye’ (KUDCA) and asked him about his thoughts on his friend bagging the legendary show as the female lead, she said, “I want her to do well in life. Doing ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ will be a good opportunity for her as an actor. I called her when I read the speculative news about her being considered for the show. I told her that the show will be a great opportunity for her and that she’ll give her whole and soul to the project and make the producers and the channel proud. She is a very hardworking actress and I wish the best for her and wish that she reach heights of success. I conveyed my best wishes to her and now that she has taken up the show, I’m happy for her”.

When asked about fond memories during KUDCA shoot, Shagun added, “There are many fond memories from the show with Pranali and the rest of the cast. It was a period drama wherein pre-partition and post-partition era were portrayed and it was quite a difficult show to pull off. Pranali played my mother in the show also. The entire cast of the show is quite thick and I’ve been in touch with Pranali post the show as well”.
